Repairs and Service
With the benefit of a large and well equipped independent
hydraulics workshop Apex offers a complete in-house service, repair and
machining facility for all your hydraulic equipment.
The Apex team are fully trained in every aspect of
hydraulic and pneumatic engineering and to keep customers' downtime to an
absolute minimum, there is a 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year nationwide
collection and delivery service.
Our ISO 9001 accredited design team and qualified engineers
is a resource that most hydraulic repair shops simply can't offer. The teaming
up of design expertise with the practical skills and knowledge of our workshop
engineers ensures no hydraulic equipment is beyond our knowledge or capacity
Pneumatic and hydraulic cylinder
repair - we can repair all your hydraulic and
pneumatic cylinders from small workshop cylinders such as the Enerpac range to
enormous cylinders used in steel foundries, offshore and subsea applications.
Cylinders can come in many different types such as, double acting, single
acting, telescopic, displacement, spring return and hollow, our workshop is
equipped to handle them all. Some of the cylinders we see are now obsolete and
impossible to buy spares for, but with our qualified design team and machine
shop, we can engineer the parts needed for the job. With all our years
experience we are yet to find a ram beyond our
capacity or expertise.
Pneumatic and hydraulic pump repair
- few if any workshops have an equivalent pump test facility
to Apex. How has this pump been tested? You should ask this question before you
reinstall any repaired pump. This is because of the vast amount of damage an ill
repaired pump can cause to your hydraulic system, in a lot of cases a failed
pump can contaminate your whole system, meaning other components such as valves
and cylinders will either need replacing or repairing them selves. We can not
only repair all pneumatic and hydraulic pumps we can also test them and supply
test documentation to support the test, with this level of support, you know
your pump is in good hands.
Pneumatic and hydraulic motor repair
- our vast experience with different motors means that almost
without exception most brands and types of motor have passed through our
workshop. This level of knowledge coupled with our ability to source spares
ensures that your motor will be repaired quickly and efficiently.
Gear box repair
- We have a department dedicated to the repair of all size
and type of gear box including Wormboxes, Bevel gearboxes, Variable speed
gearboxes, Helical wormboxes and Helical gearboxes from manufacturers like
Allspeed, Bauer, David Brown Radicon, Electropower, Flender, Gruppo Bonfiglioli,
Hansen, Lenze, Opperman Mastergear, Posiva, Renold, Rossi Gearmotors, Santasalo,
SEW Eurodrive, Sumitomo. This specialised in-depth knowledge ensures that
repairs are carried out to your complete satisfaction.
Pneumatic and hydraulic valve repair
- our service covers the full range of valve types whether for
clean or dirty water, oils, chemicals, food & drink or other applications.
Accumulator repair
- most accumulators come under the bracket of pressure vessels and therefore
carry strict guidelines as to their repair and service. We are an authorised
service centre for Fawcett Christie Hydraulics (the leading UK manufacturer of
accumulators) and understand the legislation governing accumulators.
Power pack repair - regular
maintenance of your power packs can improve and protect your entire hydraulic
system from costly damage or down time. This type of maintenance service can be
carried out at our workshop or on site by one of our service engineers. During
your shut down periods we can service and test your power packs, making down
time due to hydraulic failure a thing of the past.
Garage equipment repair -
we have a specialised department within our workshop that deals
only with equipment such as trolley jacks, axel stands, pit jacks and workshop
cylinders. Having experts that specialise in one area of hydraulics means your
equipment is with someone who knows it inside out.
On site repair
- although we would always say to any customer the
best place to repair any hydraulic equipment is in a well equipped workshop, we
know this is not always possible. For this reason we have site engineers who are
able to problem solve and repair equipment where ever they are needed. Our site
engineers are equipped with portable test instruments to ensure full
functionality before they leave.
