Accumulators
Advantages of using a bladder accumulator.
Using an accumulator as an energy storage device effectively reduces the
required flow rate capacity of the hydraulic pump, this results in a reduction
of the installed power.
The energy stored in an accumulator is used to avoid the accidental interruption
of the working of the power generator by guaranteeing continuity of the safety
function for a specific time.
An accumulator which is kept constantly under pressure allows for instant and/or
repetitive operations as required (braking, opening of doors etc).
An accumulator on account of the low inertia of its bladder can dampen the
pulsations generated by the pump.
Different accumulator types
- Bladder Accumulators
- Transfer Barrier Accumulators
- Stainless Steel Accumulators
- Piston Accumulators
- Hydra Cushions
- Diaphragm Accumulators
Whatever type, size or brand of
accumulator you have,
we can supply replacement units or seal kits for it.
Accumulator Test and Service
We always have a large stock of accumulator spares. We also offer a
free strip and quote service, where by customers can be assured that they
won't incur any expense before they know the full extent of the cost.
Accumulators are pressure vessels and therefore carry
strict guidelines as to their manufacture and repair. All of our service
engineers carrying out service of accumulators must attend accredited courses to
ensure that they are fully conversant with all legislation governing
accumulators.
