Apex offers a full design facility for special or one off items of hydraulic equipment for specific applications. A host of projects, which have been designed by Apex for their own use in maintenance and testing procedures have been adopted by many other hydraulic companies. Of particular interest are the units developed in conjunction with the mining industry such as the roof bolter equipment and associated test rigs and ancillary items.

Apex's engineering and design staff is a special resource whose qualifications and expertise are second to none. Our sales engineers have been well trained in technologies directly relevant to the Hydraulics industry. In addition, we employ specialist design engineers to deliver the best possible results for our customers. Our large design drafting staff is a unique commitment to our in-house design capability.
 

To further enhance design efficiency and speed, Apex extensively utilises a Computer Aided Design (CAD) system. Our sophisticated computer design facility is state-of-the-art, with these design capabilities Apex are able to provide original project design documents or we can adapt designs as directed by our customer's.
Apex are capable of manufacturing all kinds of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as well as specialised items and components for proprietary units. Our large modern workshops are equipped with a full range of the latest machine tools and boasts a highly skilled work force.

Our highly skilled team are experienced in the manufacture of hydraulic cylinders upto 10,000 psi (690 bar) single acting and double acting. Power packs upto 40,000 psi (2760 bar) motors, valves and pumps. It can be made from customers' own designs or from designs drafted by Apex engineers. Grinding, chroming, polishing and finishing are all part of the Apex service commitment.
